Catedral Metropolitana María Reina

This modern building is the most representative Catholic temple in Barranquilla, it consists of several elements that are considered very attractive on their own: the sculptural work of the master Rodrigo Arenas Betancourt, a 16-ton monument in homage to Christ the Liberator; large mosaics of Saint Joseph and Queen Mary and gigantic stained glass windows representing creation and the sacraments of the Catholic Church. In front is the Plaza de la Paz that also houses a gallery and large green areas.
